Artelye is well equipped to fabricate a variety of the eco-friendly countertops that are increasingly requested*. These “green” alternatives to traditional stone are very durable and environmentally friendly.

Many of the new counter products combine natural and man-made materials in composite slabs, and most of them integrate recycled waste into the mix. All are attractive and viable alternatives to conventional surfaces.

Options include beautiful terrazzo-like recycled glass–and-concrete composites. Thousands of pieces of polished glass, which began life as beer bottles, windshields, traffic lights, and stemware, are set in a base of concrete to create these solid slabs. Surfaces are available in almost any color, as the pigment can be added to the background mix and customers can select from a variety of sizes and colors of glass. These products will help your remodeling or new construction project to qualify for LEED certification.

In addition to the many fully recycled products on the market, CaesarStone, one of Artelye’s most popular products is the first and only quartz surface to earn the ISO 14001 Certification for its compliance and commitment to the best green manufacturing processes. The company is committed to creating a better quality environment and is implementing procedures to prevent pollution and waste reduction at its manufacturing facility. In addition, CaesarStone is also certfied ISO 9002 (Quality Management standard) and NSF 51, is LEED (new commercial construction and major renovation projects) compliant and sports the Good Housekeeping Seal.
