The Efficient Fabrication Process

1.
All stone material fabricated for countertops will be cut in rectangular or square pieces. Seam location is decided by slab size, individual characteristics of a material, structural support and installation safety issues. Artelye® always attempts to produce the largest pieces possible within the constraints of these factors, and reserves the right to make the final seam location decision.

2. Backsplash thickness is the same as the countertops being fabricated. Requests for thicker or thinner splashes are considered "special order". Placement of splash is based upon factors including structural support.

3. For engineered slabs (quartz surfaces) and "consistent" or "no-movement" natural stone, it is not necessary for the customer to select individual slabs or view the template on the stone.

4. However, for stone slabs of a veined character or with heavy pattern or movement, Artelye is proud to offer a unique customer templating service using ourSLABSMITH™ technology. The process allows for the CAD template design of the customer’s project to be plotted onto the surface of the slab. From here the customer and Artelye representative can move around the template pieces on the slab to design the best possible template in terms of pattern, flow, book-match and customer expectations. While every effort is made to map out the most acceptable design for the customer, ultimately Artelye reserves the right on final template design in accordance with appropriate fabrication rules.
