MAN-MADE MATERIALS
All of the man-made surfaces are manufactured by processes involving
blending natural quartz or stone, with resin and colors. We fabricate
Zodiaq, Silestone and IceStone - we do not currently inventory the
slabs. NONE of the man-made stones offer the durability of granite,
and none are warrantied to be used as tiles or flooring.
ZODIAQ by DUPONT and SILESTONE by COSSENTINA
Zodiaq and Silestone are composed mostly of quartz, giving
ihem exceptional toughness and a hardness of 7 on a scale of 10
(only diamonds rate a 10!). Here's what Quartz surfaces offer:
• It is consistent in color, and offers a comtemporary
look not found in natural stone
• It can be cut and fit to meet exacting requirements
with precision, uniformity and consistency.
• It is dense and nonporous, with no sealing required.
• It has excellent strength and durability, BUT is heat-,
scratch- and stain- resistant! (not proof)
• Best of all, both are easy to maintain, with a ten-year
manufacturer's warranty against product defects.
